The Range
Doorleaf

The doorleaf is constructed with a 4mm thick high gloss GRP laminated external skin, fully encapsulating a jointed timber frame manufactured from kiln-dried CLS S-F-P and resin laminated polyurethane foam core of typical density 32 kg/m2.

The external skin is hand laminated using an isophthalic brushing polyester gelcoat and two layers of 600gm/m2 chopped strand matt to BS3496:1989 fully saturated with a high heat distortion isophthalic/DCPD based unsaturated polyester resin, which has a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of 100°C.

The frame is constructed with a 4mm thick high gloss GRP laminated skin fully encapsulating 1" seventeen layer birch throughout plywood.

The external skin is hand laminated using our isophthalic gelcoat and three layers of 600gm/m2 chopped strand matt to BS3496:1989 fully saturated with orthophthalic polyester resin. It comes with a non staining EPDM sponge D-section compression seal and secondary EPDM blade stop seal.

The gelcoat uses a U.V. stabilized base resin which, when formulated with organic and lead chromate pigments, offers excellent weathering properties. The standard range of colours have all been awarded a 7+ rating as described in BS1006 B01 to B04. The 7+ rating is industry recognized as the highest possible award issued under the British Standard.
